Battery Charger Assembly

When the 64060490 EU battery charger (Friwo) is used for the first time, the correct AC mains
power connector must be attached before use. Select the plug matching the AC power socket
present, and slide it onto the end of the charger. Press the plug on until it snaps into place. This is
shown in Figure 3-6.
3.4.

Bonding and Grounding

All grounding and equal potential bonding connections must be made according to local
regulations based upon the country of installation. Refer to local codes and the certificates and
control drawing in the Appendix section of this manual for more specific information regarding
grounding. Usually, regulations require that all connected pieces of equipment in an intrinsically
safe system be bonded together and grounded to a single point. An external ground lug is provided
on the battery pack (Figure 3-7) for equal potential bonding purposes.
