3.1. Mounting the Battery

This chapter provides installation instructions for the 64060625 intrinsically safe battery
pack. Please read this chapter thoroughly before beginning installation.
A graphic of a typical IND226x intrinsically safe terminal installation using the
64060625 battery pack is shown in Figure 3-1.
Note that the 64050625 battery pack is shipped from the factory in a discharged condition.
Before use, the battery pack must be attached to the charger in the safe area and charged for at
least 6.5 hours.

DO NOT INSTALL OR PERFORM ANY SERVICE ON THIS EQUIPMENT BEFORE THE AREA HAS
BEEN SECURED AS NON-HAZARDOUS BY PERSONNEL AUTHORIZED TO DO SO BY THE
RESPONSIBLE PERSON ON SITE.
DO NOT REPLACE THE BATTERY PACK WITH A BATTERY OR BATTERY PACK OTHER THAN
THE ONE SUPPLIED BY METTLER TOLEDO SPECIFICALLY FOR THE IND560x WITHOUT FIRST
MAKING SURE THE ENTITY PARAMETERS ARE ACCEPTABLE. IF THERE IS ANY DOUBT
REGARDING THE ENTITY PARAMETERS, USE ONLY THE BATTERY PACK SUPPLIED BY
METTLER TOLEDO.
