Setting the drying function
You can use the drying function to dry the steam oven
cavity after operation.
Turn the mode selection knob to CLEAN MODES.

Touch the bottom line.

After a few seconds the mode starts automatically.

Descaling
Even if you use softened water, you will need to descale
the steam oven at regular intervals.
The descaling program consists of several steps. For hy-
giene reasons, the descaling program must be run through
completely so that the appliance can be ready for opera-
tion again. In total, the descaling program runs for approx.
70-90 minutes.
Setting the descaling function
Tip: Follow the step by step instructions on the display.
Mix 3½ cups (800 ml) of water with half a bottle

(200 ml) of descaler and set it aside.
Turn the mode selection knob to CLEAN MODES.

Cleaning recommendations
CAUTION
Wait until the appliance has cooled before cleaning.
Use only clean soft cloths, sponges, paper towels, or fi-

brous brushes for cleaning and scouring.
DO NOT use abrasive products such as steel wool or
¡
abrasive pads.
DO NOT use cellulose sponges. Some sponges are
¡
processed with salt and can cause corrosion by leaving
salt deposits on the metal.

Suitable cleaning method
Soapy water, use a soft cloth to dry.

Wipe stainless steel surfaces with mild, luke-
¡
warm, soapy water. Always wipe and dry in
the direction of the stainless steel grain.
Rinse thoroughly.
To remove fingerprints and produce added

shine, use a stainless steel cleaner or condi-
tioner.
Special stainless steel cleaners are available
¡
through Customer Support or at retail stores.
Apply glass cleaner to a soft cloth or sponge,
not directly on the control panel.
The remaining time counts down on the display.

Empty the water tank, rinse it thoroughly. Dry the wa-

Descaling is complete. The appliance is ready for use.

Cleaning sponge
The cleaning sponge provided is very absorbent. Use the
cleaning sponge wipe down the oven cavity and to remove
any water remaining on the oven cavity bottom.
Wash the cleaning sponge thoroughly before initial use.
¡
The cleaning sponge can be washed in a dishwasher.
Wipe down the oven using the cleaning sponge and dry
¡
afterwards using a soft cloth.
Use the cleaning sponge only to clean the oven cavity
¡
and to remove any water remaining on the oven cavity
bottom.
DO NOT allow any cleaning compounds to remain in
¡
contact with stainless steel for extended periods.
DO NOT USE CHLORINE-BASED CLEANERS.
¡
Always wipe dry immediately to avoid water marks.
¡
Always rub metal finishes in the direction of the polish
¡
lines for maximum effectiveness and to avoid marring
the surface.
Clean only those parts of you oven that are listed in the
¡
cleaning chart.
Recommendations
Always remove lime deposits, grease, oil,
¡
starch and egg white stains immediately af-
ter the appliance has cooled down.
Do not use corrosive or abrasive cleaners,
¡
which dull the surface. In the event that one
of these products comes into contact with
the oven, immediately clean it using a damp
cloth.
Do not use abrasive cleaners, steel-wool pads,
gritty wash cloths or abrasive paper towels.
