– The syringes in the "TRAUMACEM V+ Syringe Kit, 4×1 mL, 2.3 mm
Adapter" are solely intended to be used for PMMA-based bone ce-
ment augmentation and must not be used with radiographic con-
trast agent/contrast agent.
– For injection of radiographic contrast agent/contrast agent, only
syringes with luer lock with an appropriate intended use should be
used.
– Always consult the radiographic contrast agent/contrast agent in-
struction for use and the warnings therein prior to administration to
ensure that the used radiographic contrast agent/contrast agent is
approved for this application.
Combination of medical devices
The "TRAUMACEM V+ Syringe Kit, 4×1 mL, 2.3 mm Adapter" is tested
and validated with the DePuy Synthes PMMA-based bone cement and
DePuy Synthes augmentation hardware only.
DePuy Synthes has not tested compatibility with devices provided by
other manufacturers and assumes no liability in such instances.
For infor mation on compatibility with other devices or systems,
consulta tion with a DePuy Synthes representative is recommended.
Refer to corresponding device's or system's directions for use.
Operating instructions
1. Once cement has been mixed connect the stopcock to the mixer.
Attach the side without funnel of the stopcock to the mixer. The
handle in the initial position is turned 90° away from the mixer and
the "off" sign is on the opposite side of the funnel. Ensure a tight
fitting between stopcock and mixer but avoid breakage of the stop-
cock due to excessive torque when applying.
