Snowthrower Controls
SNOWTHROWER CONTROLS
A. Speed Select Lever — Allows the operator to use one of six
(6) forward and two (2) reverse speeds (see Figure 2). To shift,
move speed select lever to desired position.
NOTICE: Do not move speed select lever while Traction
Control is engaged. This may result in severe damage to
the drive system.
B. Auger Control Lever — Used to engage and disengage the
auger and impeller. To engage push down, to disengage release.
C. Chute Rotation Crank — Used to rotate the discharge chute
to the left or right.

D. Chute Deflector Knob — Used to control the angle of the
chute deflector (up or down).
E. Free-Hand™ Control — After engaging the traction control (left
hand) and auger control (right hand), allows the operator to
release the auger control lever to use the other controls.
F. Traction Control Lever — Used to propel snowthrower forward
or reverse. Push down to engage, release to disengage.
G. Clean-Out Tool — Used to remove snow and debris from the
discharge chute and the auger housing.
H. Skid Shoe — Used to adjust the ground clearance of the auger
housing.
