— Strictly follow the national regulations for the use of respiratory
protective devices (in Germany for example BGR 190,
in Australia and New Zealand for example AS/NZS 1715:1994
"Selection, use and maintenance of respiratory protective devices").
— The filter apparatus set is suitable for use by instructed personnel only!
— When using the half mask in explosion-hazard areas, treat with antistatic
spray or apply a water film.
— Temperature during use: -30 to 60
Selection for the use of respiratory filters
The following filters approved according to EN 14 387:2004 and
EN 143:2000 or AS/NZS 1716 with a maximum weight of 300 g and a
Dräger-specific Rd 91 connection can be used:
— Particle filters (types 670, 674),
— Gas filters (types 671),
— Combined filters (types 672, 673, 675),
— Coarse dust filter (in addition to particle filters and combined filters).
Additional resistance:
0.25 mbar at 30 L/min
0.75 mbar at 95 L/min
Use (B, C, D, E, F)
Remove the cap from the adaptor (B).
Screw in the particle filter, gas filter or combined filter, insert the coarse
dust filter into the cap, if necessary, and fit the cap on the mask.
Half mask with head straps (C1, D1, E1):
Loosen the harness:
Pull the ends of the harness as far as possible towards the head straps.
Push the half mask up to the head straps.
Close the locking hooks (C1).
Fit the half mask over your mouth and nose. Pull the head straps over your
head and position them on the back of your head (D1).
Pull the ends of the harness until the half mask sits tight on your face (E1).

Half mask with headband (C2, D2, E2):
Loosen the headband:
Lift the lug with your thumb and pull the headband as far as possible in the
direction of the arrow (C2).
Fit the mask over your mouth and nose (D2).
Position the headband on the back of your head and guide the harness
over your ears in the process.
Pull the ends of the headband until the half mask sits tight on your
face (E2).
Check whether the system is leak-tight (F):
Use your hand to seal the respiratory filter and inhale until negative
pressure is generated.
Hold your breath for a moment.
The mask must hold the negative pressure, if not:
Retighten the straps or use another mask size.
Beards or drooping cheeks can affect the required leak-tight fit of the half
mask. Danger of intoxication!
Use with leak-tight half mask and installed respiratory filter only!

After use

Half mask with head straps:
Open the two locking hooks. This provides a convenient parking position
for the half mask at your breast and allows you to remove the mask easily.
Half mask with headband:
Loosen the headband and remove the half mask.
