Work on the EIB bus may only be carried out by authorized electricians. The laying and
connection of the bus line, as well as the connection of the application devices, must
be carried out in accordance with the applicable DIN-VDE Guidelines, as well as the EIB
Manual of the ZVEI/ZVEH.
The device is maintenance-free and is not to be opened.
2.1 Regulations
The Presence Detector fulfills the requirements of the Low-voltage and EMC Directive. This
is confirmed by the CE marking on the device.
The applicable standards, rules, regulations and stipulations of the respective country
are to be observed.

The Presence Detector is a highly complex device. Without fail, please also follow the
instructions in the appurtenant Technical Manuals for the ABB i-bus ® EIB.
