Before using the appliance, the user must read
the following instructions carefully.
Connection to the mains supply
The hair dryer should only be connected to an
earthed socket installed in accordance with the
regulations.
Make sure that the supply voltage corresponds
with the voltage marked on the rating label of
the hair dryer.
Models with dual-voltage selector:
Dual-voltage models can be set to different
supply voltages by using a screwdriver or
similar object. Make sure that the set voltage
corresponds with the supply voltage.
This product complies with all binding CE
labelling directives.

Important safety instructions

Caution: do not use the
appliance near bath tubs,
washbasins or any other
receptacle containing water.
Protect the appliance from moisture and
splashing water and do not operate it with
wet hands.

In the vicinity of any water source, there is
a risk even when the appliance is switched
off. Therefore, always remove the plug from
the wall socket after use, especially if the
appliance is being used in a bathroom.
Additional protection is available by fitting
an earth-leakage circuit-breaker with a rated
tripping current not exceeding 30mA into
your bathroom installation. Please consult a
qualified electrician.

Electric heating appliances operate at very
high temperatures. Do not touch any part of
the appliance except the grip. Otherwise
there is a real risk of burning.

Do not use the appliance on synthetic hair-
pieces or wigs, as the heat emitted might
cause damage to the synthetic fibres.
■
Make sure the air intake and outlet
openings are not blocked (e.g. by fingers or
hair), and that no fluff or fibre particles are
allowed to accumulate in the air intake.
A blockage in the air-flow system may
cause the integral thermal safety cut-out to
switch off the appliance. Should this occur,
immediately disconnect the appliance from
the mains power and allow sufficient time
for it to cool down before the blockage is
removed and the appliance is switched on
again.

Every time the appliance is used, the main
body including the power cord as well as
any attachment fitted should be checked
thoroughly for any defects. Should the
appliance, for instance, have been dropped
onto a hard surface, it must no longer be
used: even invisible damage may have
adverse effects on the operational safety of
the appliance.
■
To prevent damage to the power cord,
- do not bend or kink the cable, especially
where it leaves the housing,
- do not pull on the cord,
- do not coil the power cord around the
appliance.
■
Do not leave the appliance unattended
while in use.
■
Always switch off and remove the
plug from the wall socket after use,
as well as
