Hair dryer

Dear Customer,
Before using the appliance, please read the
following instructions carefully and keep this
manual for future reference. The appliance
must only be used by persons familiar with
these instructions.
Connection to the mains supply
The hair dryer should only be connected to an
earthed socket installed in accordance with the
regulations.
Make sure that the supply voltage corresponds
with the voltage marked on the rating label of
the hair dryer.
This product complies with all binding CE
labelling directives.

Important safety instructions
 Caution: do not use the
appliance in the vicinity of a
bath, shower or swimming-
pool, over a washbasin fi lled
with water or near any other receptacle
containing water.
Protect the appliance from moisture and
splashing water and do not operate it with
wet hands.
 In the vicinity of any water source, there is
a risk even when the appliance is switched
off. Therefore, always remove the plug from
the wall socket after use, especially if the
appliance is being used in a bathroom.
Additional protection is available by fi tting
an earth-leakage circuit-breaker with a rated
tripping current not exceeding 30mA into
your bathroom installation. Please consult a
qualifi ed electrician.
 This appliance may be used by children
(at least 8 years of age), and also by
persons with reduced physical, sensory or
mental capabilities, or lacking experience
and knowledge, if they have been given
supervision or instruction concerning the
use of the appliance and fully understand
all dangers and safety precautions involved.
 Children must not be permitted to play with
the appliance.
 Caution: keep any packaging materials
well away from children, as they are a
potential source of danger e.g. from
suffocation.
 Electric heating appliances operate at very
high temperatures. Do not touch any part
of the appliance except the grip. Otherwise
there is a real risk of burning.
 Do not use the appliance on synthetic hair-
pieces or wigs, as the heat emitted might
cause damage to the synthetic fi bres.
 Make sure the air intake and outlet
openings are not blocked (e.g. by fi ngers or
hair), and that no fl uff or fi bre particles are
allowed to accumulate in the air intake.
A blockage in the air-fl ow system may
cause the integral thermal safety cut-out to
switch off the appliance. Should this occur,
immediately disconnect the appliance from
the mains power and allow suffi cient time
for it to cool down before the blockage is
removed and the appliance is switched
on again.
 Before the appliance is used, the main body
as well as any attachments fi tted should be
