9 – Operation
Torque preselection
The cordless drill/screwdriver has
a torque setting function with 20+1
levels which helps to avoid damage
to the screw or drill head. By rotating
the torque setting (2) on your cordless
drill/screwdriver, you can select the
required level, from 1 (easy screw
driver action) through to maximum
(heavyduty screwdriver/ drilling
action). Always select the most appro
priate torque for the job in hand.
Do not use the drill setting for
screwdriver work.
Tensioning a tool
Traditional screwdriver bits, bit
holder and drills up to a diameter of
10 mm can be used in the chuck (1).
Only use a tool that can be clamped
securely in the chuck and which is
designed for use with this machine.
See „Technical data".
The machine has a quickaction
chuck (1). This allows you to change
accessories by hand quickly and
without a chuck key.
• Open the claws of the quickac
tion chuck. To do this, rotate the
quickaction chuck anticlockwise.
Open the quickaction chuck far

enough to be able to insert the tool.

• Insert the tool in the quickaction
chuck.
• Rotate the quickaction chuck
clockwise and tighten securely.
CAUTION! Accidentally
switching the machine on is
an injury risk. Set the switch for
the rotation direction to the mid
dle setting when the machine is at
a standstill in order to activate the
lock for the On/Off switch.
CAUTION! Risk of cuts.
• Wear gloves to insert a drill into
the quickaction chuck.
• Tighten the quickaction chuck
to clamp the tool in place.
The chuck of right/left rotat
ing machines is always fixed
with a leftthreaded screw. This
must be loosened from the front
through the chuck (1) before
changing it. Leftthreaded screws
can only be loosened by turning
to the right.
Switching on and off (Figure 5)
• Switching on:
Press the On/Off switch (10). The
screwing/drilling process starts.
During the screwing/ drilling pro
cess, keep the switch pressed.
The LED working light (11) will
light up.
