To improve the AM reception
After you connect the AM antenna, connect
a 6- to 15-meter insulated wire to the AM
terminal. Connect the y terminal to earth.
Important
Ground the external antenna against
lightning from the y terminal. To prevent a
gas explosion, do not connect the ground
wire to a gas pipe.

Connecting a TV
Connect the video input jack of a TV to the
VIDEO OUT jack on the rear panel of the
system with the supplied video connecting
cable.
When using a TV
Turn on the TV and select the video input
so that you can view the pictures from this
system.
Note
For even higher quality video images, you
can use an optional S-VIDEO cord to
connect the S-VIDEO input jack on your TV
to the S-VIDEO OUT jack on the rear panel
of the system.

Color System (NTSC/PAL)
This system conforms to the NTSC and
PAL color systems. Set SYSTEM SELECT
(color system) on the rear of the system to
the appropriate position, according to your
TV.
SYSTEM SELECT was set to AUTO in
factory
• If your TV automatically changes the color
system according to the input signal:
The factory setting (AUTO) automatically
changes the color system of video output
according to the color system of the
VIDEO CD to be played. In this case, the
color system selected remains until you
turn off the system, or you play another
VIDEO CD with a different color system.
If you turn off the system, the color
system will be set to NTSC automatically
when you turn on the system again.
