Service and maintenance
What you need for changing the engine oil:
− Oil drain tray, sealing ring (aluminium), clean cloth, 10 mm spanner
• Drain the engine oil (see chapter "Draining the engine oil").
• Fill new engine oil (see chapter "Filling the engine oil").

Drain the engine oil

NOTE!
Do not use the power generator if the oil drain plug is leaking. Contact a
specialised workshop in such cases.
The used engine oil should be lukewarm for it to drain off properly.
• Switch off the power generator.
• Allow the generator to cool down until the drive unit is lukewarm.
• Slightly tilt the power generator using
a suitable pad such that the oil drain

plug points slightly towards the
floor.
• Place an oil drain tray with at least one
litre capacity under the oil drain plug.
• Loosen the oil drain plug using a
spanner by turning it counter-clockwise
and remove it by hand. Hold the plug
firmly so that it does not fall into the oil
drain tray.
• Allow the used engine oil to drain completely.
• Wipe the oil drain plug and drain hole carefully with a clean cloth.
• Insert a new sealing ring (aluminium).
• Tighten the oil drain plug clockwise with your hand as far as it goes and
carefully tighten it using the spanner. Do not apply a lot of force.
• Place the power generator back in a horizontal position.
• Start the power generator (see chapter "Starting the power generator").
