7.2 Cleaning And Checking
Clean the device before and after each use.
7.2.1 Main Unit
Wipe the body with ethanol- or an isopropanol-dampened soft cloth or absorbent cotton pad. Be careful that
the liquid doesn't enter into the device.
CAUTION
7.2.2 Camera Window
The camera window should be kept clean to ensure the performance of irradiating the observation light and
observing the fluorescence image.

Clean the camera window with a soft and clean cloth such as a lens cleaner.

Use an ethanol- or isopropanol-dampened soft cloth or absorbent cotton pad only when the dirt is tough
or extreme.
CAUTION
Check the camera cable before and after use.
The camera cable is the part most likely to be mechanically stressed in daily use. Check the following items.

Make sure that there are no tears on the cable and no abnormal bends.

Make sure that there are no mechanical distortions or other abnormalities at the connector points.

Make sure that there are no signs of poor cable connections such as unstable operations of monitor
display.

Organic solvents other that the ones mentioned above may dissolve the paint on
the body of the device. Use a clean cloth or cotton pad to clean the PDE.
Do not wipe the camera window with a stiff or dirty cloth.
The camera window is made from acrylic acid resin and has only a weak toler-
ance for organic solvents.
Unplug the power supply cord before cleaning. Do not use organic solvents other
than the ones mentioned above.
Contact your local distributor in case the above abnormalities are observed.
