CAR SEAT FOR CHILDREN
Dear Customer, thank you for choosing a BREVI MILANO product.
The child car seat "Smart" has ECE R44/04 homo-
14
logation for Group 0+ and is suitable for babies
weighing from 0 to 13 kg.
WARNING
Do not use the car seat on front passenger seats provided with air
bag. If the car is equipped with airbag the child car seat must be
installed in the backseat of the car.
WARNING
This is a "Universal" child restraint. It is approved to Regulation
No. 44, 04 series of amendments, for general use in vehicles and
it will fit most, but not all, car seats.
A correct fit is likely if the vehicle manufacturer has declared in
the vehicle handbook that the vehicle is capable of accepting a
"Universal" child restraint for this age group.
This child restraint has been classified as "Universal" under more
stringent conditions than those which applied to earlier designs
which do not carry this notice.
If in doubt, consult either the child restraint manufacturer or the
retailer.
WARNING
It 's important to respect the correct steps when fastening the seat
belts. Do not use any load bearing contact points other than those
described in the instructions and marked in the child restraint.
The car seat can be installed on the front passenger seat if it has
a 3-point seat belt (see page 8 possible positions).
It is not possible to install the car seat on a central front passenger
seat.
WARNING
Never leave your child in the car seat with seat belts fastened
unattended. Checked regularly during the drives, that your child
and the car seat are properly positioned and that the car seat is
firmly and properly fixed.
RECOMMENDATIONS
1. The car seat should always be fitted with 3-point "roll-up" or
fixed seat belts, even when not in use. A non fixed car seat
could cause injury to other passengers in the event of sudden
braking.
2. Only suitable if the approved vehicles are fitted with 3 point or
static safety-belts, approved to UN/ECE Regulation No. 16 or
other equivalent standards.
3. When placing the car seat in the car, make sure that during use
none of its components is blocked by any moveable part of the
seat or the door of the car.
4. Any straps holding the restraint to the vehicle should be tight.
Any straps restraining the child should be adjusted to the
child's body, and that straps should not be twisted.
5. The device should be changed when it has been subject to
violent stresses in an accident. The violent stresses to which it
is subjected in these cases can alter its structure and solidity,
thus compromising its safety. No modification or addition can
be made to the car seat without specific approval of BREVI
MILANO.
