3 Installation

Remove the left and right side panels, the front panel and the
air outlet guard. (Refer to the installation and instruction man-
ual for the storage heater.)
Fig. 1: Pierce the pre-cut openings for the auxiliary heater
with a sharp tool such as a screwdriver. Remove sheet metal
parts from the connection compartment. Press the grommets
supplied into the perforations in the partition panel. The
thicker side should be towards the air mixing space.
Fig. 2: Slide the ceramic base over the auxiliary heater. All
the ceramic bases supplied must be used.
Fig. 3: Insert auxiliary heater and connection cables into air
outlet space. Guide connection cables through grommets
and slide in auxiliary heater. Do not press grommets through,
but brace if necessary. Slide insulating sleeve (A) on to re-
ceptacle (B).

ATTENTION!
Do not bend bimetal strips and their retaining brackets!
The heater must not extend more than 10mm into the
connection compartment!

Fig. 4: Slide the ceramic base(s) with the groove into the re-
taining bracket(s) (for positioning of ceramic bases, see
"Structural overview of auxiliary heating").
Series T45E...T75E: Secure ceramic base(s) with fixing clamps
supplied.
Fig. 5: If the left ceramic base cannot be connected with a re-
taining bracket, slide it to the end of the heater for support.
Fig. 6: Affix sticker for identification plate.
A sticker for the identification plate is supplied with every aux-
iliary heating system. The sticker should be affixed inside the
existing identification plate as shown in the example oppo-
site. A: Sticker for auxiliary identification plate
