INTENDED USE
The Endoscope is a visual tool designed for optical error diagnostics and inspection of
facilities and appliances that are voltage free. Do not use in areas where there is a danger of
explosion or on persons or animals.
The lighting at the tip of the camera can be adjusted.
The images are displayed using a PC software.
A USB connection ensures data transfer from the endoscope to your computer and power
supply.
Any use other than described above may damage the product, there may also be other
dangers.
This product complies with the applicable national and European requirements. All names of

Read these operating instructions completely and carefully as they contain very important
information about configuration, operation and handling. Observe all safety instructions!

1. Open www.conrad.com/downloads in a browser or scan the
displayed QR code.
2. Select document type and language and enter the item number
into the search field. After submitting the query you can download
displayed records.

Damage due to the failure following these operating instructions will void the
warranty. We do not assume any liability for any resulting damage!
We do not assume any liability for material and personal damage caused by
improper use or non-compliance with the safety instructions. In such cases,
the warranty will be null and void!
Dear customer,
the following safety instructions and hazard warnings are intended not only to
protect your health but also to protect the device. Please read the following points
carefully:
• The unauthorised conversion and/or modification of the product is not permitted
for safety and approval reasons (CE). Never dismantle the product.
• The endoscope must only be used for inspections of de-energised equipment.
The camera head is made of metal and this may lead to short-circuits.
For safety reasons, switch off the power to all components prior to every inspec-
tion.
• The product is intended for use in dry, indoor locations only. The product must not
get damp or wet.
Protect the product from cold, heat, direct sunlight, dust and dirt.
• The product is not a toy and it should be kept out of the reach of children. Position
the product so it is out of the reach of children.
• The camera lighting is generated by LEDs. Never look directly at the LED beam
with the naked eye.
• Handle the product with care; it can be damaged by impacts, blows, or accidental
falls, even from a low height.
• Do not leave packaging material carelessly lying around, since it could become a
dangerous plaything for children.
• If you have any questions that are not answered in these operating instructions,
please contact our technical support centre or consult a professional.
SOFTWARE INSTALLATION
The CD contains a software programm. We briefly explain the installation.
The CD also contains a manual in English, which explains the function of the programm in
detail.
• To install the software on your computer, insert the CD provided in the corresponding drive
of your computer.
• Run the file "setup.exe" in the folder "ViewPlayCap". If a message from Windows
account control appears, confirm with Yes.

• Follow the instructions during installation.
• Once setup is completed, you can find a shortcut on your desktop "ViewPlayCap".
CONNECTING THE ENDOSCOPE
Now connect the USB endoscope to the computer.
• Connect the plug of the firmly attached USB cable to a free USB socket on your computer.
• The driver is installed automatically. This can take several seconds.
You must always connect the endoscope to the USB port first and then start the desired
software.
OPERATION
• Start the software "ViewPlayCap".
As soon as it is running, the live image from the camera is transferred automatically.
Operating the endoscope
• To take a photograph, press the button on the endoscope. The image is shown on your PC
immediately.
• To switch on and control the LEDs at the tip of the camera, rotate the thumb wheel on the
endoscope to the right. The LEDs are switched on when you hear a click. You can then
adjust them continuously by further rotating the wheel.
To switch the LEDs off, rotate the wheel to the left until you hear a click again.
Operating the software
The most important functions are selected with the buttons below the menu bar.
• Use the button on the far left to switch the live camera image on and off again.
• The second button from the left (photo camera), you can take a photograph.
• Use the third button (video camera) to record a video. Once you clicked on the button, you
must click OK to start the video.
To stop recording the video, click the button with the video camera again.
• The monitor button takes you to the filter settings for the video capture recordings.
• When clicking on the gear wheel, you can change the video settings.
• You can find all other settings in the menu bar above.
