9. Initial setup
At first activation of the device, or if you had disconnected it from the mains completely, "Wel-
come" will appear in the display after connection to the supply voltage. The starting process
takes a few seconds. The status is displayed with a charging bar.
If you want to change the following settings later, you can find them in the menu item "Configu-
ration". The individual subitems are "Language" and "Network".
First, a menu window for the language setting is displayed after the first start.
• Select your desired language with the buttons C5 (up) and C6 (down) on the remote control.
• Confirm with the C9 button (OK).
Next, you will see the query of whether you want to check the WiFi connection at each activation.
• Choose "YES" or "NO" with the C7 (left) or C8 (right) button.
• Confirm again with the C9 button (OK).
In the next display, you can set up the WiFi connection. Here, you can choose between "NO", "Yes(WPS)"
and "YES". For selection, use the buttons C7 (left) or C8 (right) and for confirmation, use C9 (OK).
• Select "NO" if you want to set up the WiFi connection later.
• Select "Yes(WPS)" if you want to set up the connection with the help of WPS.
Once you have confirmed, start WPS on your router or access point as well. You have 120 seconds for
this.
The connection is then established automatically and the radio switches to the main menu.
• Select "YES" is you want to set up the WiFi connection manually.
The internet radio will automatically scan for available WiFi networks.
Select your WiFi with the C5 (up) or C6 (down) button and confirm with the C9 button (OK).
Now you need to enter the WiFi password. This is easiest with the buttons 0 to 9 (D0 to D9). Use the
characters list from chapter 7. b).
Push the individual number buttons repeatedly until the desired number or letter is displayed. To switch
to the right and the next character of the password, push the respective button C8 (right). If you want to
delete the last input, do so with the C7 (left) button.
Alternatively, you can also switch through the letters and numbers with the C5 (up) or C6 (down) button.
To accept the password, confirm with the C9 button (OK).
The connection is then established automatically and the radio switches to the main menu.
