User's Manual OP-009-PS
Each measurement made in each measurement point collects the following data
for the three wavelengths:
REF (Reference):
LEVEL:
ATT (Attenuation):
PASS / FAIL:
After measuring and storing all measurement points of the installation, they can
be download to the PROMAX NetUpdate3 program to be shown on a certification
report.
3.1.2
Example of a practical application in order to certify an
installation by using the TV EXPLORER
Next there is a step by step example to certify a telecommunication installation
of optical fibre by using the TV EXPLORER
To make the required certification it is necessary:
A TV EXPLORER
-
A signal generator of the three wavelengths used in fibre optical installations
-
in order to calibrate and measure (PROLITE-105).
-
A pigtail with a FC to SC adapter.
Step 1.-
Capturing reference measurements.
1.- Connect the SC pigtail end connector to the PROLITE-105 output connector.
2.- Connect the FC end of the pigtail to the optical input of the TV EXPLORER
HD
(see figure below).
3.- Turn on the PROLITE-105 and the TV EXPLORER HD.
4.- In the TV EXPLORER
menu.
