So that the Check Lanes can be used for section measurement, the
sections have to be defined. Using the Carrera Race App please
check that the firmware version 3.37 or higher is installed on the
Control Unit. The Check Lane should also be installed in the track
before the setting up is carried out. To define the sections, proceed
as follows:
Switch off the Control Unit as shown in figure

The first LED now lights continuously. Now release the SPEED key
(figure ). Repeated pressing of the SPEED key will light up LEDs

1-4 (figure ) correspondingly. Select one of the following options:

LED 1 = Time recording off
LEDs 1+2 = Time recording on
LEDs 1+2+3 = section time 1
LEDs 1+2+3+4 = section time 2
To accept the option selected, a car must now be run or pushed
over the respective sensor (figure ). An audible signal in-

dicates that the option selected has been accepted. Follow
the same procedure for each Check Lane. After defining the
Check Lane measuring points, press the START key (figure
to leave the ,Setup' mode.
Note: if Time recording was switched on, the start/finish line will
have marked one section point. Setting the measuring point on the
Control Unit is not required. The counter function on the Control Unit
should not be turned off.
