Clean the surfaces inside.
Dry all cleaned parts and surfaces.
Correctly reinstall accessory parts removed.
Properly install the lid (see →Setup and installa-
tion) and close it completely.
Connect the mains plug on the connecting cable
(see →Electrical connection).
Clean the floor around the appliance.
NOTE
Property damage due to misuse.
▪ Only add goods to the appliance once the specified
temperature for the product has been reached.
Check the temperature display (see →Temperature
display).
12.3 Maintenance, service, and re-
pairs
Responsibility
Qualified staff
Only specialist personnel may carry out service and
repair work, including the following function tests.
The appliance does not need any regular mainte-
nance.
In the event of questions relating to maintenance, contact
the maintenance service (see →Maintenance services).
WARNING
Work on the electrical system and refriger-
ant circuit.
Contact with live parts may result in electric
shock. Flammable refrigerant can escape and
cause an explosive gas/air mixture. Fire haz-
ard due to sparking or overload.
▪ Only qualified staff may carry out work on
the electrical system and refrigerant circuit.
▪ Note safety instructions, page 7, chapter
2.5.
▪ Observe the electrical safety rules prior to
commencing work.
Disconnect the appliance.
Secure the appliance against reconnection.

▪ During the repair a competent person with
knowledge of local conditions must be
available as contact for the qualified staff.
▪ Only qualified staff may restart the appli-
ance and perform functional tests.
CAUTION
Sharp edges, rotating parts. Hot
surfaces.
Risk of injury to hand and body. Risk of
burns in the event of skin contact.
▪ Only specialist personnel may carry out
service and repair work on the appli-
ance.
▪ Use protective gloves.
▪ Touch hot surfaces, in particular the
compressor, only after they have cooled
down.

12.3.1 What to do if ...

All appliances are carefully tested for performance
and safety at the AHT test centre.
Contact the maintenance service promptly (see
→Maintenance services) in the event of:
a malfunction (see →Malfunctions during opera-
tion)
loud noises or vibration
Provide the following information:
Appliance type
- 14-digit serial number of the appliance
- See →Rating plate and serial number
- Additional sticker on the appliance

Type of malfunction
Make the defective appliance inaccessible to end cus-
tomers.
