9.1 Electrical connection

The connection to the power supply is made by the
operator.
For technical data, see →Technical data
WARNING
Connect the appliance to the power
supply.
Contact with live parts may result in electric
shock. Fire hazard due to sparking or over-
load.
▪ Only qualified staff may carry out work on
the electrical system.
▪ Note the following before connecting to the
power supply:
- Applicable local electrical safety regula-
tions.
- Applicable standards and safety instruc-
tions.
- Information on the rating plate (see
→Rating plate and serial number). The
mains voltage and mains frequency must
match the specifications on the rating
plate.
▪ Do not connect a damaged appliance or
damaged parts (such as connecting ca-
bles) to the power supply.
▪ Only qualified staff may replace damaged
parts, e.g. connecting cables.
▪ Do not squeeze or bend connecting ca-
bles.
▪ Adhere to minimum requirements for con-
necting cables (see →Technical data).
▪ Fuse the appliance in accordance with the
applicable regulations and laws as well as
the specifications issued by AHT (see

→Fusing).

▪ Only connect the appliance to a mains cir-
cuit with protective earthing.
▪ Do not use extension cords or multiple
socket strips.
▪ Do not damage concealed electrical parts.
Do not drill holes in the appliance and do not
carry out any other work on the appliance.

NOTE
Material and property damage due to devia-
tions (voltage, frequency) in the operating
company's electrical network that are not per-
mitted by AHT.
▪ The manufacturer is not liable for damage to the op-
erator's electrical equipment or any resulting damage.
Material damage due to faulty electrical con-
nection.
▪ Load breakers or device shut-downs are not per-
mitted.
Property damage from interruption of the
voltage supply.
Cooling fails.
▪ Connect the mains connector of the connecting ca-
ble to a voltage supply that is permanently supplied
with voltage.

Appliance connection

The appliance is connected using a mains plug (see
→Technical data and Start-up).
9.2 Fusing

Every electrical connection must be sufficiently fused.

WARNING
Faulty/insufficient fuse protection.
Contact with live parts may result in electric
shock. Fire hazard due to sparking or over-
load.
▪ Ensure adequate fuse protection.
▪ Observe applicable local regulations, e.g.
for electrical installation and operation of
the appliances.
▪ Observe applicable standards and safety
instructions.
▪ Never operate the appliance without a cir-
cuit breaker.
▪ Never operate the appliance without a re-
sidual current device.
▪ Never connect more than two appliances
to one fuse. AHT recommends connecting
a maximum of one appliance.
