FITTING
1.
Remove bumper (Note: the 2 rearmost fixings securing the plastic wheel arch covers must be removed to
release the bumper tips). Remove and discard the steel bumper beam secured to the rear panel.
2.
Insert Sidearms (D & E) inside chassis. Remove the boot floor covering. Locate the dimples in the boot floor for
forward holes (J), drill out sufficiently to insert Bushes (F1 & G1), remove the 2 rubber bungs for rearmost holes
(J) and insert Bushes (F1 & G1).
3.
Position Spreader Plates (F & G) inside boot and align with holes (J) (use flat washers as spacers on left hand
Spreader Plate (F), loosely secure to vehicle chassis using Bolts (J) with flat washers fitted as shown below
ensuring bolts pass through Bushes (F1 & G1) and holes in Sidearms (D & E).
4.
Loosely attach Crossbar (A) to Sidearms (D & E) using Nuts (K) with flat washers. Drill (dia 11mm) through
dimples in rear panel for Bolts (L) and loosely secure to Spreader Plates (F & G) with flat washers.
5.
Fully tighten all bolts.
6.
Cut bumper as shown below and refit.
7.
Refit boot floor covering.
NOTE: the number plate can be positioned 30mm higher on bumper should the ball encroach on it.
This towbar must be used with either a Witter Towball (part number Z11) or Class A50-1 or A50-X towball dimensionally
Conforming to A50-1 with a 'D' and 'S' value greater than or equal to that of the towbar.
Please refer to the vehicle specification for the trailer weight and nose limits, which must be observed.
Recommended torque settings: M8 - 27Nm, M10 - 53 Nm, M12 - 95 Nm , M14 - 150 Nm, M16 - 214 Nm
