G 4 Existing M10 Crash Beam Nuts
M12 x 35 x 1.75 Bolts, Lock Washers, Ø 40 Flat Washers, and Black Witter Cage Nuts & Retainers
H 4
ZE 1 Electrical Plate Bracket (ZEQ4)
ZP 1 Flip-Up Electrical Plate Kit (Z99)
ZQ 1 3013 Series next kit.
Note: This towbar must be used with either a Witter Neck Kit (3013 series) or Class A50-1 or A50-X towball dimensionally
Conforming to A50-1 with a 'D' and 'S' value greater than or equal to that of the towbar.
FITTING
1. Remove rear light clusters to gain access to top-corner bumper securing clips (Plastic wing nuts, access via boot side
trim covers)
2. Remove bumper. (Plastic clips along bottom edge, 3 wheel arch screws, 2 clips under each light cluster and pull off clips
on sides and top edge)
3. Remove Inner Bumper beam and retain Nuts for re-use.
4. Lower exhaust silencer(s) by removing support brackets from rear panel.
5. Pre-assemble the Witter Cages Nuts (fasteners H) to Side Brackets (C & D), using separate instructions.
6. Insert Side Brackets (C & D) into open ends of chassis rails so that holes (G) are located over two of the Bumper Beam
studs.
7. Loosely secure Side Brackets using fasteners (H) and existing nuts (G) Note: Use holes shown for Hatch/Saloon
models and holes H1 for Estate models
8. Pre-assemble the Witter Cages Nuts (fasteners E) to the ends of Cross Bar (A), using separate instructions.
9. Assemble Cross Bar (A) to Side Brackets (C & D) using fasteners (E) and (F).
10. Assemble the chosen Neck Kit (ZQ), Electrical Plate Bracket (ZE) and Retractable Electrical Plate Kit (EP) to Cross
Bar (A) using fasteners from the Neck kit.
11. Fully Tighten all Fasteners
12. Re-locate exhaust silencer(s) and re-fit exhaust silencer bracket(s) to rear panel.
13. Cut bumper as shown and re-fit.
Recommended torque settings:
Grade 8.8 bolts: M8 - 24Nm, M10 - 52 Nm, M12 - 80 Nm, M14 - 130 Nm, M16 - 200 Nm
Grade 10.9: M12 – 120Nm, M10 – 70Nm M8- 35Nm
