•
Press the START button (1).
Sanders with two-speed three-phase motor (Fig. 9).
It is possible to reset operation in three ways, depending on how the machine was stopped:
•
Stoppages using the STOP button (5): press the START button (4).
•
Stoppage using the EMERGENCY STOP mushroom-head button (6): turn the button in the
direction indicated by the arrow on the button itself, then press the START button (4).
•
Stoppage by turning the switch (7) to the central position ("0"); position the selector in
position "1" or "2" depending on the required speed.
4.2.
CENTRING THE SANDING BELT
Belt centring is achieved by turning the knob (B) in either direction.
Proceed as follows:
1) Manually move the belt in the direction indicated by the arrow on the guard to check towards
which side it has a tendency to move (Fig. 11);
2) Start belt rotation in pulse mode by pressing the START and STOP buttons alternately while
at the same time turning the knob (B) (Fig. 12): turn the knob clockwise to move the belt
towards the inside of the machine and turn it anti-clockwise to move it outwards.
3) Start the machine to check that the belt is correctly aligned.
If necessary repeat the belt centring procedure.
4.3.
WORK PROCEDURES
a. Start the machine (see heading 4.1)
b. Wear protective gloves.
c. Take hold of the workpiece with both hands.
d. Place the workpiece on the piece rest.
e. Gently bring the workpiece into contact with the belt/disc.
f. Apply force gradually, avoiding any excessive pressure which forces the machine to operate
below its normal rpm.
g. At the end of the work process stop the machine (see heading 4.1)
