5. MAINTENANCE - STORAGE - ASSISTANCE - DISPOSAL
NOTES
Routine maintenance operations which can be performed by the user are described
below.
Have the machine repaired by expert personnel only. This machine complies with all
the relevant safety prescriptions. Repairs to the machine must be carried out by skilled
personnel only using original spare parts. Failure to observe this recommendation could
jeopardize user safety.
DANGER - WARNING
• BEFORE PERFORMING ANY MAINTENANCE WORK, PLACE THE MACHINE IN
SAFETY CONDITIONS AS DESCRIBED IN HEADING 1.4.
• PLACE THE POWER CABLE IN A COIL NEAR THE MACHINE.
5.1.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR REPLACING THE BELT
Tools required:
Appropriate Allen keys and/or Phillips screwdrivers are needed to replace the belt.
Check compatibility of the USED belt
NOTES
Use of used belts is not recommended.
However, in the case of necessity, check that the belt is intact and shows no signs of
evident wear.
Check compatibility of the NEW belt
NOTES
The characteristics of the belt must be compatible with the technical specifi cations indicated
in this manual..

a. unscrew and remove the fi xing screw on the adjustable guard (O) and lift up the guard.
b. Unscrew and remove all the fi xing screws and remove the guards (W and Y - Fig.19).
c. Slacken the belt tension by turning the knob (A) anti-clockwise.
d. Take the belt off the pulleys.
DANGER - WARNING
MAKE SURE THE ARROWS PRINTED ON THE INSIDE OF THE BELT MATCH UP
WITH THOSE INDICATING THE DIRECTION OF SANDER ROTATION
e. Place the new belt on the pulleys.
f.
Adjust the belt tension by turning the knob (A) clockwise.
g. Replace the guards removed previously and carefully secure in place.
h. Carry out the belt centring procedure as described in heading 4.2.
