the cover. Their only purpose is opening the cover.
6. Use the Food (E) button to adjust for the moisture
level of the food. Choose Moist for moist foods and
Dry for dry foods. Dry is the standard setting.

If you have selected the Moist setting, the blue control light will lash during the
evacuation process, however, once the sealing process starts, the blue control
light lights up constantly and the green control light by Seal starts lashing.
NOTE: The appliance produces a fairly high vacuum pressure in the bag. If this
pressure might crush fragile food then observe the vacuum pressure in the bag
during vacuuming. When the desired vacuum is achieved, press the Seal (D)
button. The appliance switches off the extraction pump from vacuuming and
begins sealing the bag.
8. When evacuation and sealing are completed, meaning both the blue and the
green control light have gone out, pull the release buttons on the left and right
side of the appliance upwards. The cover opens, allowing you to remove the bag
(see Fig. 9).
9. Check whether the new seal seam is straight and uncreased (see Fig. 10). Should
this not be the case, repeat the process after cutting off the weld.

The appliance applies a fairly high vacuum pressure in the bag. Should you vacuum
seal pressure sensitive foods like f.e. pastry, we recommend vacuuming with the
Pulse Vacuum (A) function and sealing with the Seal (D) function. This makes it
easier to monitor the strength of the vacuum and prevent possible damage to the
food. Touch the Pulse Vacuum (A) button and watch the vacuum in the bag while
vacuuming. Once enough vacuum has been created, let go of the button and the
extraction pump will stop.
Now, briely press the Seal (D) button and the appliance will begin to seal the bag.
NOTE: Even on the automatic Vacuum & Seal (B) setting, you can stop the vacu-
uming process at any time, should you notice the vacuum getting to strong for the
food. To stop the vacuuming process, you can press the Seal (D) button at any time
and the appliance will stop the extraction pump and begin to seal the bag.
