10. Setting the Operating Modes
c) DMX Operation
Each DMX device in a DMX chain requires a so-called DMX starting address to be clearly identified by the controller.
This DMX starting address specifies the first DMX channel to which the effect light responds. The remaining control
channels come after this first DMX channel (DMX starting address).
The effect light requires 7 or 26 free DMX channels depending on the DMX operating mode set.
•
Push the button MODE until the display shows "dxxx". "d" means that the device is in DMX operation, "xxx" shows
the selected start address.
•
Select the desired start address with the UP and DOWN buttons.
•
Push the button SETUP and select the desired DMX operating mode with the buttons UP and DOWN
("7-ch"=7 channel DMX operation, "26ch"=26 channel DMX operation).
•
Once a DMX signal is received from the connected DMX controller, the letter "d" is shown in the display. If no DMX
signal is recognised, the letter "d" flashes.
•
The DMX signals from the controller are output unchanged at the DMX OUT port, so that subsequent effect lights
are controlled synchronously.
•
The DMX functions for 7-channel and 26-channel operation are listed in the following tables.
