Intended use
The OneSystem passive leaf lock N1940 is suitable for the inactive leaf in double-leaf
tubular frame or for standard doors (backset from 55 mm) made of metal, plastic
or wood.
The passive leaf lock can be installed in combination with the OneSystem top
security lock N5120.
The lock is suitable for installation in doors with a high usage frequency, where
there is little incentive to be careful, thus posing the possibility of accidents or
misuse (such as office doors).
It is suitable for use on fire doors (smoke protection doors). All applicable
provisions for the approval of protective doors must be observed.
It is designed to provide door locking in security areas and is approved for use in
emergency exit door locks according to DIN EN 179 and panic door locks
according to DIN EN 1125.
The active leaf must also be designed as an escape door and equipped with a
suitably approved panic lock.
With double-leaf doors with rebated meeting stile and panic locks in each leaf,
the leaf must open when the panic door lock is actuated. Both leaves must open
freely if both panic door locks are actuated at the same time. This may require a
door driving flaps to be installed.
With double-leaf doors with rebated meeting stile and door closer, the correct
door closing sequence must be assured; otherwise the function of fire doors or
smoke protection doors, in particular, is not guaranteed. It may be necessary to
install a door closer.
The bottom locking bar is not suitable for installation with a retractable bottom
seal.
The passive leaf lock is suitable for installation according to the assembly
instructions and use according to the functional description.
It is not intended for any other type of use.
