do not blend for more than a total of 3 minutes. Hard foods
like coffee beans, almonds and the like should not be blended
for more than 1 minute.
48. Should foods clog up around the blades, switch the blender
off with the Power button. When the motor and the blades
have come to a complete standstill, pull the power plug and

take the blender jug off the motor unit. Use a plastic spatula
to move resp. stir the foods around the blades before resum-
ing the blending process. Never use your hands to move the
foods – the blades are very sharp!
49. Do not reach into the blender jug and touch the blades after
the power plug has been plugged in.
50. Never use the appliance if the blades are damaged or if any-
thing else than food is in the blender jug / blender container.
51. Always keep your hands, fingers, hair, clothes, jewellery and
kitchen utensils away from the blender jug while it is in use.
You may insert kitchen utensils into the blender jug only after
the power plug has been pulled and the blades have come
to a complete standstill! To do that, please only use plastic
or wooden kitchen tools, under no circumstances use ones
made out of metal. Even then, please be very careful, as the
blades are very sharp even when standing still. Never reach
into the blender jug with your fingers or hands!
52. Always be very careful when handling the blender jug / blender
container – the blades are extremely sharp! You should be
especially careful when emptying the blender jug or when
unscrewing resp. cleaning the blade base. Improper handling
of the blades can lead to injuries!
53. Never remove the blender jug / blender container from the
motor base while the appliance is switched on and plugged in.

54. Never use the blender without food or liquids in the blender
jug / blender container.
55. Never pour carbonated liquids into the blender jug / blender
container, this could cause injuries.
56. Do not process very hot or boiling liquids. They always have
to be allowed to cool down before being poured into the
blender jug / blender container.
57. Always be very careful when pouring warm liquids into the
blender jug / blender container, the liquid might splash out of
the jug / container and burn you!
58. When blending very warm liquids, always make sure that the
measuring cup is not placed in the lid to allow the steam to
escape. In this case, the blender jug should not be more than
half-full. Never look into the blender jug from above when
processing warm or even hot foods while the measuring cup
is not in place. Hot splashes could injure you!
Caution: Very hot liquids must never be filled into the blender
container.
59. Do not expose the blender jug / blender container to extreme
temperatures, e.g. do not place the cold blender jug in hot
water or vice versa.
60. Always note the Max-marking on the blender jug / the
blender container and make sure to never exceed it. Should
the Max-marking not be respected, the contents of the jug
could spill out of the lid. In this case, switch the appliance
off, disconnect the power plug and empty the jug enough
to bring the surface level of the jug contents back under the
Max-marking. Then, clean and dry the outside of the jug and
the motor base. Place the jug with the closed lid back on the
motor base and restart the appliance.
