33. To prevent electric shock, do not use the appliance if cord or
power plug are damaged or if the appliance has other faults,
has fallen down resp. is damaged in any other way or if parts
have come loose. Never attempt repairs yourself but take the
appliance to Solis or a service centre authorized by Solis in
order to get it inspected, repaired or mechanically and elec-
trically maintained, in order to avoid a hazard.

34. People with limited physical, sensorial or mental capabilities as
well as unknowing or inexperienced people and children must
not use the blender except when supervised or thoroughly
instructed on how to use the appliance by a person respon-
sible for their safety. Additionally, they must be aware of the
dangers arising from the appliance and know how to operate
it safely. Cleaning and maintenance of the appliance must not
be done by unsupervised children. Under no circumstances
must the appliance be used or cleaned by children under the
age of 8. The appliance and its power cord have to kept away
from children under the age of 8.
35. Keep the appliance and the power cord away from children
and pets.
36. Children must be supervised, so that they do not play with
the blender.
37. Always make sure that the blade base is screwed on and that
the jug lid is firmly attached to the blender jug before starting
the blender. Otherwise, the contents might splash out. The
measuring cup seal always has to be screwed into the jug lid
unless you are processing very warm foods. In this case, the
jug must not be more than half-full. When using one of the
blender containers, the blade base has to be firmly screwed on.
38. Never disconnect the power plug while the appliance is run-
ning a program. Always terminate the program with the
Power button first.

39. Do not place anything on the appliance while it is in use or
in storage.
40. Pull the plug after every use. Only then, the appliance is fully
switched off.
41. The appliance has to be cleaned after every use. Please refer
to the notes given in the section "Cleaning and mainte-
nance" on page 87 of this manual.
42. Clean the motor unit only with a dry or slightly moist towel.
Never use aggressive, abrasive or acidic detergents for clean-
ing.
43. When lifting or moving the appliance, always touch the
blender by its base. Always disconnect the power plug and
take off resp. empty out the blender jug / blender container.
Always move the appliance very carefully and do not shake
or throw it, it might be damaged.
44. Should you notice a strange smell or sound, switch the appli-
ance off (in case a program is running) and pull the plug. Do
not start using it again before having its functionality and
safety checked by Solis or a service centre authorised by Solis.
45. Never touch the blender blades in the blade base. They are
extremely sharp and could injure you!
46. Before disassembling or cleaning the appliance, always switch
the appliance off with the Power button on the control panel
if it is still blending. Then, wait for the motor and the blades
to come to a complete standstill and disconnect the power
plug from the power socket. This also applies if the appliance
is not in use.
47. After completing a full-length blending cycle (180 seconds),
the motor should be allowed to cool down for 5 minutes
before you restart it. In general, please always let the motor
cool down to room temperature (this takes approx. 2 min-
utes) after two blending cycles before restarting the appli-
