2.1 Insert the lower hooks of the RAS into the seats on the lower side supports (Fig.38)
and fasten the RAS into both sides.
2.2 Turn the RAS upwards until the side teeth are inserted in the seats on the sides of
the support affixed to the shell (Fig.36).
2.3 Press the outer teeth at the top of the RAS to fasten it to the support affixed to the
shell (Fig. 37).
Check that the RAS is correctly fastened into all its seats by pulling it slightly
backwards.
WARNING
-
The RAS has been designed for use on the racetrack only. In the event of mechan-
ical stress, accidental bumps or falls, it may detach from the helmet and become
damaged.
-
When using, transporting, cleaning, maintaining or handling the helmet, be careful
not to damage the RAS and precisely follow the assembly and disassembly in-
structions provided.
-
To clean the RAS, use lukewarm water and mild soap only. Leave to dry at room
temperature away from direct sunlight and/or heat sources.
-
When carrying a passenger, we recommend disassembling the RAS from the hel-
met to ensure it does not bother or pose a danger to the passenger.
-
The two lower side supports and the upper support affixed to the shell cannot and
should not be removed from the shell.
-
Once the RAS has been disassembled, the ASD profile and side flaps must be
assembled (see instructions below).
-
If the RAS does not fasten correctly to the helmet or is damaged, disassemble it
from the helmet and speak to a Nolangroup authorized dealer.
. ADJUSTABLE STABILITY DEVICE (ASD)
Whenever the RAS is removed from the helmet, the top and side flaps provided in the
box must be assembled in its place. This constitutes the ADJUSTABLE STABILITY
DEVICE (ASD), or an aerodynamic spoiler with adjustable profile. The ASD optimises
the helmet's aerodynamics, stabilising it at high speeds, and facilitates the extraction
of hot air from inside the helmet. Its profile, and therefore its aerodynamic performance,
can be adjusted to one of two available configurations to better suit different riding
positions and styles. (Fig.40).
1
ASSEMBLING THE TOP FLAP
1.1 Disassemble the RAS (see instructions above) and place the top flap of the ASD
on top of the support affixed to the shell (Fig.41).
1.2 First press the ends and then the middle of the upper flap to fasten the lower teeth
into their respective sliding seats on the support (Fig.42).
2
ASSEMBLING THE SIDE FLAPS
2.1 Disassemble the RAS (see instructions above) and place the left side flap of the ASD
with its grip pawl over the side seat on the upper support affixed to the shell (Fig.43).
2.2 Press the side flap to securely fasten it to the support.
2.3 Repeat on the other side of the helmet to fasten the right side flap.
