7.1 Before you send in the appliance

7 Troubleshooting
Before contacting your authorised Royal dealer, Royal service partner or appliance market, first follow
the procedure in the following table to check if you can solve the problem yourself.
WARNING:

Possible cause Solution
Mount the water tank again, ZChapter 3.1, "Fill-
ing the water tank".
1. Switch off the device, put it into the neutral
position, and pull the plug from the socket,
ZChapter 4.6, "Putting the device into the
neutral position".
2. Fill the water tank, ZChapter 3.1, "Filling the
water tank".
3. If the overheating protection has tripped, wait
about 45 minutes before connecting the ap-
pliance again.
Ensure that the floor has been cleared of loose
dirt before cleaning with the steam mop.
Repeat the cleaning process several times.
If that is not enough, remove the stain before
steam cleaning.
1. Switch off the device, put it into the neutral
position, and pull the plug from the socket,
ZChapter 4.6, "Putting the device into the
neutral position".
2. Wait for about 5 minutes. You can now re-
move the cold micro-fibre cleaning cloth and
replace with a fresh one, ZChapter 7.2, "Ac-
cessories and spare parts".
Replace the water filter cartridge, ZChapter 6.1,
"Checking/replacing the water filter cartridge".
