Assembly instructions
Make a Z-bend to the linkage of the rudder and insert it into the eyebolt
from the bottom side (picture 24).
Solder a solder sleeve to the servo end of the rudder and elevator linkage.
Install a nut and clevis to the solder sleeve.
Connect the clevis to the servo horn in a way that the full servo travel is
used (about 45° to each side). We recommend the innermost hole on the
servo horn (9mm) for the rudder and the outermost hole (15mm) for the
elevator. The fine adjustment in the radio should be done afterwards (trav-
EN
el adjust).
The outer sleeves of the linkages are to be glued to the side of the fuse-
lage by installing a small wooden strip with a notch like shown in picture.
You can also add some more glue points further back in the fuselage tube
(picture 25).
Finishing the support of the all flying tail plane
The support bracket of the elevator of the model
After positioning it together with the wings, it will be glued into the fuse-
lage at the correct angle.
Open the bores for the bracket and also clean it from the inner side of the
fuselage. Sand the gluing area thoroughly in the depression of the fuse-
lage (picture 26).
The fuselage is supposed to get positioned after the bracket is installed
and glue is applied. This needs to be prepared beforehand to ensure a
fixed position of the complete model during the curing process.
Check if the elevator is able to be installed at right angle to the vertical
stab (rework if needed). Remove the bracket again. Carefully apply some
thickened resin to the bracket (e.g. UHU plus / Endfest 300) as shown in
picture 27. Tip: tape the complete area around the bracket to avoid glue
on the surface of the vertical stab (picture 28). Position the fuselage in
the prepared area and mount the elevator halves. Let the resin cure over-
night (picture 29/30/31).
Elevators
The elevator halves are ready to be assembled and are mounted in the
alloy bracket in the fuselage and the control horn. It is secured by a gold
connector which is glued into the
half is a socket for the gold connector. A
lever. The bolt is glued into the left half of the elevator with thin CA glue (should
stick out around 20 mm).
To finish the elevator, glue in the 8mm joining tube into the left elevator
half. You can use a small amount of Pattex (or similar contact adhesive),
so the tube can be removed again in case it is needed. It is important to
slide the tube completely into the right elevator half, then add the adhe-
sive in the left elevator half and assemble the complete elevator to the
fuselage. Let the glue dry thoroughly and disassemble again. Then the
connection of the gold connector will release.
Spinner and Prop adapter (electric version)
You can purchase power sets separately. Included are the propeller and
spinner according to the fuselage diameter.
Assembly:
Slide the propeller adapter onto the motor shaft. Afterwards the Spinner
gets screwed to the prop adapter with a gap of about 1mm between fu-

joining tube. In the right elevator
Ø8mm
Ø3mm bolt is used in the rear
selage and spinner. Make sure that the spinner sits correctly in the notch
of the propeller middle part before tightening the spinner screw. Other-
wise there is danger of vibrations (picture 32).
Motor mount, motor assembly and spinner (electric version)
The motor mount is included in the kit and fits to the motor of the recom-
mended power unit 1-00699-Alpina. The motor mount has a mark which
should show to the bottom. Sand the inner side of the fuselage thorough-
ly and clean it with alcohol. Tape the outside of the fuselage to avoid glue
drops.
Also tape the motor to make sure no glue can flow into it. Screw it to the
motor mount and make sure the motor cables are positioned at the mark
of the motor mount. Position the complete unit into the fuselage without
gluing and also install the prop adapter with spinner. After positioning,
glue the motor mounts with just a few drops of 5 minute Epoxy and let it
cure (picture 33). When hardened, remove spinner and motor and glue
the motor mount to the fuselage from both sides. Don't use too much glue
on the inside to make sure the motor still fits after gluing (picture
34/35/36).
The propeller blades (of the power unit) are secured to the prop adapter
middle part by using the bolts with the clamp ring. The O-ring is added
like shown on the picture and lets the propeller blades fold to the fuselage
when the motor stops (picture 37/38).
Launch hook bracket (option on glider version)
If a hook for launch start should be installed, the model needs to be
equipped with a bracket under the servo tray, before the servo tray gets
installed. The position for the hook should be 610mm behind the fuselage
nose. Mark this point and drill a small hole in the fuselage. Close the hole
with some tape from the outside again and sand the inner side of the fu-
selage with 80 grit sandpaper around the hole. Glue the bracket onto the
hole. The launch hook can then be installed after finishing the model.
Installing the tow hook (option on glider version)
Use the 1,5mm wire and the linkage tube (leftovers of the rudder linkage)
to make a linkage for the tow hook lik shown in picture 39. Drill a hole of
about 8x3mm on the right side of the fuselage, around 6cm behind the
fuselage nose in the area of the carbon reinforcement of the fuselage
(picture 40). Glue the prepared tow hook over the hole like pictures
41& 42 show. Open the servo tray for the servo and install it like shown
in picture 43.
Your model is finished
Some important steps need to be finished in the workshop: Set the CG
according to the manual and make sure to use the correct angle of in-
cident on the elevator. When both is set correct, there will be no prob-
lems on the maiden flight.
A successful maiden flight depends on the preparation
Ange of incidence and CG have been determined theoretically and con-
firmed in test flights afterwards. The CG is 100mm behind the leading
