Daily maintenance
Check the saw chain with regard to
visible cracks in the rivets and links,
whether the saw chain is stiff or
whether the rivets and links are ab-
normally worn. Replace if necessary.
Sharpen the chain and check its ten-
sion and condition. Check the drive
sprocket for excessive wear and re-
place if necessary.
Clean the starter unit's air intake.
Check that nuts and screws are tight.
Check that the stop switch works cor-
rectly.
Check that there are no fuel leaks
from the engine, tank or fuel lines.
Check that the chain does not rotate
when the engine is idling.

Weekly maintenance
Clean or replace the spark arrestor
mesh on the muffler.
Clean the carburettor compartment.
Clean the air filter. Replace if neces-
sary.

Spark plug gap incorrect.
Spark plug loose.

Empty the fuel tank.
Empty the oil tank.
Check all cables and connections.
Action
Adjust or replace the pawls.
Clean around the pawls.
Contact an authorised service work-
shop.
Drain it and use correct fuel.
Make sure that the spark plug is dry
and clean.
Clean the spark plug. Check that the
electrode gap is correct. Make sure
that the spark plug is fitted with a
suppressor.
Refer to rechnical data for correct
electrode gap.
Retighten the spark plug.
