Unpacking the filter
Take the filter out of the packaging and check it is complete and intact (no transport damage).

f Faulty parts must be replaced immediately.
f Work cleanly
f Keep children away from the packaging material. There is a risk of suffocation!
Remove the plastic film and dispose with the plastic waste if this facility exists locally.
This will help protect the environment. Observe the local disposal regulations!

Fitting the filter bracket and filter head
6.4.1 Fitting the filter bracket

f Prior to installation, observe the technical data and the operating and safety instructions.
f The appliance may only be connected using hoses in accordance with DVGW W 543.
f When installing accessories (hoses, connection sets), please note the installation
dimensions and bending radii.
Procedure:
1. To install the filter system, choose a location that enables simple connection to the water mains.
2. The filter system can be operated in a vertical or horizontal position (see Fig. 4).
3. The distance between the filter cartridge and the floor or the wall opposite should be a minimum
of 65 mm to allow adequate space for installing the filter cartridge (see Fig. 4A and 4B). When
installing the filter cartridge for horizontal operation, ensure that the filter cartridge is resting on
the floor. Distance of the bracket from the floor X (see Fig. 4 B) for horizontal installation:

4. During installation, align the wall bracket so that the filter head and the filter cartridge
can be inserted later with ease.
5. The filter system must be securely bolted to a wall using the filter bracket.
