6 Power supply and start-up
WARNING
Unauthorised voltage or frequency!
Risk of accident

The mains voltage and the frequency of the pow-
er source must correspond with the specifica-
tions on the machine's name plate.

In North America, only Festool machines with
the voltage specifications 120 V/60 Hz may be
used.

For safety reasons, only plug the power plug [3-
3] into totally earthed socket.

Only use extension cables with ground wire.

On completion of your work, wind the power ca-
ble around the holders [3-7].
The switch-/socket-unit [3-1] serves as voltage
supply and as ON-/OFF-switch of a power tool build
into the CMS-GE.

Plug the plug of the mains [3-3] into a totally
earthed socket.

Connect the power tool, bulit into the CMS-GE,
to the socket [3-2].

To switch ON press the green button [2-1].

To switch OFF press the red button [2-2].
The switch-/socket-unit has a zerovoltage release.
This prevents a recurrence of the voltage following
a power cut (e.g. blackout). After a power cut press
the green button [2-1] again to switch ON .
7 Accessories
The order numbers of the accessories and tools can
be found in the Festool catalogue or on the Internet
under "www.festool.com".
7.1 Schalterabdeckung (accessory)
A switch guard (CS 70 SA) can be fitted to the switch
casing to prevent the device from being switched on
without authorisation. The switch cover can be se-
cured with a padlock.
8 Environment
Do not throw the power tool in your household
waste! Dispose of machines, accessories and pack-
aging at an environmentally responsible recycling
centre. Observe the valid national regulations.
EU only: European Directive 2002/96/EC stipulates
that used electric power tools must be collected
separately and disposed of at an environmentally
responsible recycling centre.
