2. Explanation of Symbols

An exclamation mark in a triangle indicates important notes in these operating inst-
ructions that must be strictly observed.
The „hand" symbol indicates special advice and operating information.

3. Intended Use

The product is used to measure distances, heights, lengths, offsets and to calculate rectangular
areas and volumes.
When measuring distances, the measured values can be added and/or subtracted. An indirect
measuring procedure permits determination of, e.g., the height of a building as well.
Operation takes place with batteries.
Read these operating instructions completely and attentively; they contain a lot of important
information on setup, function and operation. The safety notes and all other information in these
operating instructions always have to be observed.
Any other use than the one described above will damage the product and cause danger, such
as short-circuits, fire, electric shock, etc. No part of the product may be modified or converted
and the casing must not be opened!
