Intended use
The product is designed to create or check horizontal and vertical lines by means of two built-in
lasers.
With the built-in optics, the product provides a horizontal and/or a vertical red laser line (can
be activated separately). The horizontal/vertical line is automatically aligned via the automatic
levelling system.
It is also possible to switch off the automatic levelling system in order to use one or both of the
laser lines for several other uses.
The power is supplied via four type AA/Mignon batteries (not included, available separately).
The product can be mounted on a suitable tripod (not included). A corresponding tripod screw
is located at the bottom.
For safety and compliance reasons, the product must not be converted or modified in any way.
If you use the product for other purposes than those described above, the product may be
damaged. Moreover, improper use involves risks such as short-circuits, fire, electric shocks,
etc. Please read the operating instructions carefully and do not discard them. If you pass the
product on to a third party, please hand over these operating instructions as well.

Explanation of symbols
An exclamation mark in a triangle indicates important notes in these operating inst-
ructions which absolutely have to be observed.
The arrow symbol indicates specific tips and advice on operation.
This mark instructs users not to look into the beam, that is, to protect themselves, by
turning the head and closing the eyes and by not looking into the beam for too long
(longer than 0.25 s).

Safety instructions
Please read the operating instructions carefully and pay particular attention
to the safety instructions. We do not assume liability for any injuries/mate-
rial damages resulting from failure to observe the safety instructions and the
information in these operating instructions regarding the proper use of the
product. Furthermore, in such cases, the warranty / guarantee will be null and
void.
a) General information
• The product is not a toy. Keep out of the reach of children and pets. It contains
small parts, glass and batteries. Additionally, there are other hazards due to the
laser (e.g., damage to the eyes). Use or store the product so that it is out of the
reach of children.
• Do not carelessly leave packaging material lying around. It may become a dange-
rous plaything for children.
• Protect the product from extreme temperatures, direct sunlight, strong vibrations,
high humidity, moisture, combustible gases, vapours and solvents.
• Never expose the product to mechanical stress.
• If safe operation is no longer possible, take the device out of service and secure
it against unintended use. Safe operation is no longer possible, if the product:
- shows visible damage,
- no longer functions properly,
- has been stored under adverse ambient conditions for an extended period of
time or
- has been exposed to considerable strain during transport.
• Please handle the product with care. The product can be damaged if crushed,
struck or dropped, even from a low height.
• If you have doubts about how the product should be operated or how to safely
connect it, consult a qualified technician.
• Maintenance, adjustment and repair work should only be carried out by an expert
or a specialised workshop.
• If you have any questions that are not answered in these operating instructions,
please contact our technical customer service or other professionals.
• The product must not be operated in explosive environments.
• In schools, training centres, computer and self-help workshops, use of the product
must be supervised by trained personnel in a responsible manner.
• In industrial facilities the regulations for the prevention of accidents as laid down
by the professional trade association for electrical equipment and devices must
be observed!
b) Laser
• Please use the device only as intended.
• The product is equipped with a class 2 laser. Laser signs in different languages
are included in the package. If the information on the line laser is not written in the
language of your country, please affix the appropriate sign on the product.

• During operation of the product, the laser must be directed in such a way that no
person or animal is located within the projection path and that unwanted reflected
rays (e.g., due to reflecting surfaces/objects) do not get into the path of any person
or animal.
• Laser radiation can be dangerous, if a laser beam or a reflection enters the unpro-
tected eye. Find out what the legal regulations and safety measures are for using
such a laser device in your country before using the product and the laser.
• Never look into the laser beam and never point it at people or animals. Laser
radiation can cause eye injuries.
• Do not point the laser beam at mirrors or other reflective surfaces. An uncont-
rolled, reflected beam may strike people or animals.
• If laser radiation reaches the eyes, close the eyes immediately and move the head
away from the laser beam.
• Should your eyes feel irritated from laser radiation, do not perform any safety-
related tasks such as operating machinery, working at high altitudes or close to
high-voltage components. Do not drive any vehicles until the eye irritation has
subsided.
Consult a doctor for prolonged eye irritation.
