Glossary
Penta means "five" in Greek. The Penta chronograph is thus named in refe-
rence to its five discs (two large-date discs, as well as discs for the running small
seconds and for the chronograph hours and minutes).
A chronograph counter comprises a mechanism capable of measuring a
given time.
The Flyback function serves to stop, reset and instantly restart the chrono-
graph in one single operation (instead of three on a classic chronograph).
Contrary to a traditional oscillating weight composed of two different metals,
the circular oscillating weight of this calibre is made all of a piece from a single
metal and its size guarantees an excellent movement winding capacity.
Calibre PDR 4012
Calibre PDR 4012 comprises the following specific features and displays:
• Hours
• Minutes
• Seconds (by means of a disc)
• Chronograph with flyback function. The measured time is indicated by
a seconds hand (in the centre) and two discs displaying the minutes and
hours being counted off. The chronograph hours and minutes are read off
on the markers positioned around the inner bezel.
• Large date display
Moreover, this calibre is also equipped with a so-called "raised stem" mecha-
nism serving to optimally position the winding-crown between the push-but-
tons and thus ensuring both a perfect visual effect and optimal wearer comfort.
