Operation
The MFS (MFS/C) works in accordance with the recirculation
principle. Welding fume is extracted by the extraction fan and
enters the spark arrester via the fan housing. In the spark
arrester the larger particles and any sparks are separated.
Subsequently the air is cleaned by the main filter. Via the
outlet grid in the filter cover the cleaned air is returned in the
workshop. When the main filter becomes heavily saturated
- and consequently the extraction capacity strongly reduces -,
a pressure difference switch activates the RoboClean
compressed air cleaning mechanism which thoroughly cleans
the filter using section controlled compressed airjets. In case
of an MFS compressed air is supplied externally, whereas the
MFS/C is equipped with a built-in compressor.
The dust and dirt particles end up in the dust tray.
