11. Care and cleaning

• This product does not require maintenance. Repair or maintenance work must be carried out by a technician or a
specialist repair centre. There are no user-serviceable parts inside the product, so do not attempt to tamper with or
disassemble it (except for changing the battery in the IR remote control).
• A dry, soft and clean cloth is sufficient for cleaning the exterior.
• Do not apply too much pressure when cleaning the display or the camera lenses, as this may cause scratches or
malfunctions.
• For example, a commercially available TFT cleaner can be used to clean the display of the monitor/DVR if it is
very dirty. Never apply the cleaner directly to the monitor/DVR; always apply it on a cloth to wipe the monitor/DVR.
• Dust on the monitor/DVR can easily be removed with a long-haired, soft and clean brush and a vacuum cleaner.
• To remove dirt from the camera, you can use a soft cloth moistened with lukewarm water. Never direct a stream of
water from a garden hose or a high-pressure cleaner, or similar, onto the camera.
Do not use abrasive cleaning agents, cleaning alcohol or other chemical solutions since these could dam-
age the housing or even impair operation.

12. Troubleshooting

This video surveillance set has been designed according to the state of the art and is safe to operate. However,
problems and malfunctions can occur. Therefore, observe the following information on how to solve the possible
malfunctions.
Camera image is not displayed
• Check that the connection cable is properly connected to the camera.
• Check that the connection cable is properly connected to the monitor/DVR.
Motion detection does not function properly
• Re-position the camera.
• Motion detection is based on the amount of changing image components in the monitored area. For example, when
leaves on a tree or shrub start to move, this is detected as motion and the recording might start.
• Rapidly changing brightness conditions (sun/clouds) might be detected as motion and start a recording.
Memory card is not recognised
• The monitor/DVR can only be operated with up to 128 GB memory cards.
• To format the memory card, use the corresponding function of the monitor/DVR.
