9. Operation
a) Attaching the telescopic antenna to the transmitter
Put the telescopic aerial through the hole in the top of the transmitter and tighten it (turn it clockwise). But please don't
use any force, do not use any tools to tighten it.
b) Inserting batteries/rechargeable batteries into the transmitter
If you have not done so already, insert rechargeable batteries/normal batteries into the transmitter. Please observe the
correct polarity (plus/+ and minus/-), see marking in the transmitter's battery compartment. To open the battery
compartment (fig. 1, pos. 14), simply slide the lid forward and take it off.
c) Removing the car body
The car body is secured with attachment clips which must be pulled out of the retaining pins. The car body can then be
lifted off.
d) Laying the receiver antenna cable
The receiver's antenna cable is normally rolled up on delivery. Unwrap the antenna cable completely and smoothen it
carefully.
Guide it through the antenna tube and plug the antenna tube into the attachment mount on the vehicle.
A rubber cap might be enclosed for the aerial tube. If so place it on the tip of the aerial tube to prevent the cable from
moving out of position.
Make sure that antenna cable does not enter the drive.
Never shorten/trim the antenna cable as this reduces the range. Do not wrap up excess antenna cable
that does not fit into the antenna tube! Simply let it hang loosely out of the antenna tube.
e) Turning the transmitter on
Make sure that there are no other transmitters/remote controls on the same channel and/or the same
frequency in close proximity (several hundred metres). This leads to none of the models being able to be
correctly controlled, as the model reacts to both remote controls!
Unexpected vehicle reactions pose an injury risk (the vehicle drive could start unexpectedly and quickly),
furthermore the vehicle could be damaged!
Always switch the transmitter on first and then the vehicle.
When switching off, proceed in the reverse order; first switch off the vehicle and afterwards the transmitter.
Always turn the transmitter on before connecting the rechargeable battery pack with the drive control!
