in use: push the safety lever (Pic. 24) and fold the front leg
(Pic. 25).
- It's also possible to rotate the front foot by 90° (Pic. 26)
to fold the hometrainer more compactly after training. In
this case, the hometrainer must be stored horizontally as
indicated (Pic. 27) to prevent it falling and becoming da-
maged.
NOTE: For more stability place the feet (H) in the 28 ROAD
position as in (Pic. 28).
- Drivo can be stored vertically by leaning on the floor as
indicated (Pic.29), but make sure the front leaning area in
contact with the floor is rotated as indicated (Pic. 30). Be
aware that the flywheel of the hometrainer is moved up hi-
gher in this position, so any external bumps or oscillations
might cause it to fall down. The folded up hometrainer
must always be placed close to a wall that might break its
fall.
NOTE: Before storing the hometrainer in this manner,
make sure it's safely folded up by moving its upper handle.

RECOMMENDATIONS FOR USE

Choose a cassette range that is compatible with your goals
and fitness level:
1) cassettes with a range of 11 to 23/25 teeth are recom-
mended for professional athletes and amateurs who are
able to develop high power output.
2) Cassettes with a greater number of teeth, such as 12/
13 to 27 /29, are recommended for all other cyclists.
- Derailleurs should work properly after bicycle installation
on Drivo. Occasionally, an adjustment may be necessary
for proper operation. If you have any questions, please
contact your dealer to ensure proper derailleur operation
with Drivo.
INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW TO INSTALL THE

ATTENTION!
Strictly follow the instructions provided by the cassette ma-
nufacturer with regard to specific installation techniques,
the need for additional spacers and torque specifications.
NOTE: Please contact your dealer if you have questions
about installation or if you cannot install the cassette. The
warranty does not cover any DAMAGE to the bicycle and/
or Drivo in the event of incorrect installation.

MAINTENANCE

Drivo does not require any specific scheduled maintenan-
ce, however the following precautions are recommended:
- wipe the trainer clean with a cloth after each training
session to prevent the accumulation of dust and sweat;
- Do not clean or degrease the bicycle chain while the bike
is mounted on Drivo as solvents can cause irreparable da-
mage to the bearings or other internal mechanical parts;
- Check that the quick release is properly secured and fully
working before every training session.
WARNING: The tension of the internal transmission belt is
tested on every product by Elite's assembly department;
do not alter belt tension as the power sensor must be re-
calibrated with every variation in belt tension.
- The belt tension may lessen after multiple uses or after
particularly intensive training sessions, and as a conse-
quence, the accuracy of the transmission of the user po-
wer output may reduced. If that's the case, you might need
to increase the transmission belt tension by the following
method:
1) Remove the motherboard cover (Pic. 36).
2) loosen the adjustment locking screw by one full turn, so
that you can then turn the adjusting nut (Pic. 37).
3) Turn the adjusting nut half a turn to tighten the belt
correctly (Pic. 38).
4) Begin the calibration procedure as indicated in para-
graph 37.
5) Repeat the previous operation if data transmission still
not correct.
6) Once calibration is done replace the motherboard cover
(Pic. 39).
WARNING!: Make sure the re-tensioning procedure has
been pre-approved by Elite's tech assistance department
before re-tensioning the belt (Pic. 40). Breaking the anti-
tampering seal invalidates the product's warranty.

WARNING

- Drivo becomes hot during use. Wait for it to cool before
touching the resistance unit covers.
