Faults, causes and remedies

• In the case of high water temperatures and system pressures, allow
the pump/system to cool down before working on it.
• Always wear protective clothing and gloves when working.
To flush the system, proceed as follows:
• Stop the circulation pump.
• Close the shut-off valves (pos. 15 and 17) upstream and downstream
of the system.
• Move the polar magnetic elements (pos. 4) away from the separator
housing (pos. 3).
• Open the flush valve (pos. 6).
• Open the air vent valve (pos. 11) (allows rapid flushing of the device).
• After the content completely escaped, close the air vent valve
(pos. 11).
• Open valve (pos. 17) for a few seconds (pressure cleaning of the sys-
tem).
• Close the flush valve (pos. 6).
• Replace the polar magnetic elements (pos. 4) along the separator
housing (pos. 3).
• Make sure that the ventilation shut-off valve (pos. 8) is open.
• Open the valve (pos. 15) upstream of the device.
• When the device is completely filled, open the valve (pos. 17) down-
stream of the device.
• Fill up the system.
• Start the circulation pump.
Maintenance and repair may only be carried out by qualified per-
sonnel!
It is recommended to have the pump serviced and checked by the
Wilo Customer Service.
DANGER! Risk of fatal injury!
There is risk of fatal injury due to electrical shock when working on
electrical equipment.
• Work on electrical equipment may only be done by electricians
approved by the local electricity supplier.
• Before working on electrical equipment, switch it off and secure it
against being switched on again.
• Follow the installation and operating instructions for the pump,
level control device and other accessories.
DANGER! Risk of burns when body parts come into contact with
the pump!
Depending on the pump or system operating conditions (fluid tem-
perature), the entire system can become very hot.
• Keep a safe distance during operation!
• In the case of high water temperatures and system pressures, allow
the pump/system to cool down before working on it.
• Always wear protective clothing and gloves when working.
