Battery test

In order to check the status of the batteries you can carry out a
battery test. For this purpose switch on the instrument and place
the electrode pins on the contact surfaces ¸ identified by B on
the upper face of the protective cover. If the values displayed
correspond to the reference values, the batteries have their maxi-
mum service life available. The further the values displayed lie
below the reference values, the lower is the service life of the
batteries remaining.
Reference values for the battery test:
Wood moisture scale . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . > 44 %
Building moisture scale . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . > 2 %

Changing batteries

If the batteries can no longer provide the necessary voltage for
operation of the instrument, the battery status display flashes on
the display screen. The batteries are then exhausted and must
be replaced. To change the batteries release the retention screw
¹ of the battery compartment cover
batteries
When inserting the batteries take care to observe correct polarities
and use exclusively batteries of the type Cr 2032. After inserting
the new batteries close the battery compartment cover once again.
