10. TERMINAL CONNECTION DIAGRAMS
Start series connection + neutral
230/400V – 50Hz (277/480V – 60Hz)
Start parallel connection + neutral
115/200V – 50Hz (138/240V – 60Hz)
Delta series connection
230V- 50Hz (277V – 60Hz)
Note: The single phase voltage reference (terminals 5 and 6 of the HVR-11 regulator) must be always
connected between the winding terminals 1 and 2.
Delta parallel connection
115V – 50Hz (138V – 60Hz)
Zig-zag connection + neutral
200/346V – 50Hz (240/415V – 60Hz)
Single-phase connection
230V – 50Hz (277V – 60Hz)
-
Maximum field current: 10Adc.
-
Single phase reference voltage inlet: 90Vac ÷ 440Vac.
-
Outlet voltage setting of the alternator with
multi-turn trimmer.
-
Stability control setting with multi-turn trimmer.
-
Threshold setting of low frequency protection with
multi-turn trimmer.
-
Threshold setting of over-exciting protection with
multi-turn trimmer.
-
Remote potentiometer inlet.
-
Possible operation at 50Hz or 60Hz.
Only qualified personnel should carry out
the repair of the voltage regulator in order
to avoid causing damage to either persons
or equipment.
Operation at 60Hz
When operating at 60Hz connect terminals 6 and 7 of the
HVR-11 regulator with a bridge.
Voltage regulation
The voltage regulator is set during testing in order to
obtain a line-to-line voltage of 400Vac with a sensing
voltage of 115Vac between terminals 5 and 6 of the HVR-
11 regulator (SLT) or a voltage of 230Vac with a sensing
voltage of 115Vac between terminals 5 and 6 of the HVR-11
regulator (SLS).
In the event that some adjustment to the voltage value is
needed, act on the VG trimmer with a clock-wise rotation
in order to increase the voltage.
It is also possible to set the voltage using a remote potenti-
ometer of 220kΩ, connecting it between terminals 6 and 8
of the HVR-11 regulator, as shown in the electric diagrams.
