Hedge Trimmer
WARNING
■ To reduce the risk of electric shock:
– Do not expose the hedge trimmer to water or
excessive moisture.
– Store the hedge trimmer indoors.
■ The cutting blades have many sharp cutters. Making
contact with the cutters may result in serious laceration
injuries, even if the cutting blades are not moving. To
reduce the risk of such injuries:
– Keep hands, feet and other parts of your body away
from the cutting blades.
– Never hold the material to be cut.
– Never remove cut material without first releasing the
trigger switch and removing the connecting cord.

– Never touch the moving cutting blades with your
hand or any other part of your body.
– Cover the cutting blades with a blade scabbard
before transporting or storing the hedge trimmer to
reduce the risk of inadvertent contact.
■ This battery-powered hedge trimmer is intended only for
garden and landscape maintenance. Use for other
purposes may increase the risk of personal injury and
property damage.
– Do not attempt to cut any material other than
hedges, shrubs, bushes or similar soft vegetation.
Do not cut stems, branches or other vegetation
greater than the following diameters:
– for HSA 94 R: 1.5 in. (38 mm)
– for HSA 94 T: 1.18 in. (30 mm)
– Read and follow the operating instructions in this
manual for approved applications, @ 17.
■ To reduce the risk of personal injury to the operator and
bystanders:
– Always release the trigger switch and
remove the connecting cord before
assembling, transporting, adjusting,
inspecting, cleaning, servicing,
maintaining or storing the hedge
trimmer. Remove the connecting cord in
the event of a malfunction or emergency
and any time the hedge trimmer is not in
use.
– Release the trigger switch and remove the
connecting cord before clearing jammed material.
– Never leave the hedge trimmer unattended when it
is connected to a battery.
