Replacing the O-ring of the wiper
● Loosen screw at the outside of the facepiece using screw driver
R 18 830 and remove operating lever.
● Loosen nut at the visor using an open-end spanner (14 mm).
● Remove wiper from the facepiece.
● Disassemble wiper using screw driver R 18 830.
● Remove old O-ring from the wiper shaft.
● Mount new O-ring onto the wiper shaft using the mounting tool
(AG 02 769).
● Mount wiper into the facepiece. Make sure that the deeply milled
side of the axle shows to the operating lever.
● Fasten nut on the outside of the facepiece.
● Attach operating lever.
● Fasten screw on the outside of the facepiece.
● Secure the two screws in the wiper shaft using a two component
glue.
Replacing the head harness
Replace head harness as follows:
● Pull the head harness away from the
rubber flap of the facepiece.
● Push the connecting stud of the
rubber flap out of the strap kit clip.

Attach the head harness to the
facepiece as follows:
● Put the clip on the connecting stud
of the rubber flap, then lock it into
place.
Make sure that the pin on the rubber
flap has locked into the hole of the
clip.
Transport
Transport the facepiece in a carrying box or mask bag.
Storage
Store the cleaned facepiece dry and free of dust in the associated
bag or carrying box.
Storage temperature: +5 °F to +77 °F (–15 °C to +25 °C).
Keep from direct sunlight or heat radiation.
Follow ISO 2230 and national regulations concerning storage,
cleaning, and maintenance of rubber products.
Dräger rubber products are treated with an agent to protect against

premature ageing which in some cases is visible as a grey-white
coating. This coating can be washed off with a brush and soapy water.

Disposal
Dispose of the facepiece according to local waste disposal
regulations.
