Replacing the mask connector: Pull the
inner mask out of the groove of the
threaded ring. Force open the clamping
ring with a screwdriver. Remove the
clamping ring and slip ring and the
support plate. Pull the mask connector out
of the mask body. Fit the new mask
connector with a speech diaphragm and insert it so the centre
markings of the mask connector and mask body are aligned. Fit the
slip ring and new clamping ring. Attach the hook to ensure the
tightest possible fit of the clamping ring.
Push the support plate between the
clamping ring and the slip ring; fit it into
the lower visor frame and align it.
Compress the nose of the clamping ring
with pliers until the mask connector is
securely located in the mask body. Attach
the inner mask.
Replacing the speech diaphragm or O-ring:
Pull the inner mask out of the groove of
the threaded ring. Unscrew the threaded
ring with the pin wrench. Turn the pin
wrench and carefully insert it in the holes
of the protective grille. Do not damage the
foil on the diaphragm. Turn the speech
diaphragm to remove it. Remove the O-
ring from the connector using the sealing
ring lifter. Check the speech diaphragm
and O-ring, and replace if necessary. Attach the inner mask.
Only use original Dräger parts.
Perform a new leak test after maintenance and/or replacement of
parts.
Transport
Transport the full face mask in a carrying box or mask bag.
Storage
Loosen the harness as far as possible (until it is stopped by the tab).
Wipe the visor with an antistatic cloth. Pack the full face mask in its
bag or carrying box. Store it in a dry, dust-free place where it cannot
become deformed. Storage temperature: –15 °C to +25 °C.
Protect from direct light or heat exposure.
Observe ISO 2230 and national regulations concerning the storage,
maintenance and cleaning of rubber products.
Dräger rubber products are treated with an agent to protect against
premature ageing which in some cases is visible as a grey-white
coating. This coating can be washed off with a brush and soapy water.
Disposal
Dispose of the full face mask in accordance with the applicable rules
and regulations.
