 Do not insert fingers into the machine. Always unplug the mains plug first!
 Do not touch the mains plug with wet fingers, as this can lead to electric shock!
 Do not operate without work clothing or, if required, protective goggles and additional extraction
(fine dust from the processed material). The relevant regulations of the German employer's liability
insurance association apply.
The machine must only be opened and repaired by authorised bredent service personnel -

2.2 Caution

Positioning of the machine
 Always ensure that the machine has sufficient ventilation, otherwise it may become overhe ated
and the service life may be impaired!
 Only use in closed, dry rooms and on a stable surface (workstation) with a minimum storage area
of 70 x 60 cm!
 The functioning of the unit can only be guaranteed if the components used are in perfect condition.
The components are to be thoroughly checked each time, prior to starting up the machine!
 Tools must only be changed once the unit has been switched off!
 The speed should always be set to „ZERO" before the machine is started up (risk of injury!)
Functional check/mains connection
Please ensure that...
 none of the components belonging to the machine are damaged
 there are no residues or contaminants on or in the device or the accessories
 damaged accessories or components have been replaced
 the mains plug and the insulation of the power cable are not damaged in any way
 The mains plug fits into the socket and the network data (power supply) corresponds with the data
on the type-plate
 the device is always positioned on a suitable flat and stable surface at work height
 the ambient temperatures are in a range of 10-40 °C [ 50-104 °F]
 a relative humidity of 80 % is not exceeded
 operation takes place at a max. 1800 m above sea level
 the handpiece is never operated without the tool (even when stationary), or if the pin provided is
clamped into the collet/chuck
 you observe the manufacturer's information relating to rotating tools
 the milling arm has ample space to move freely
 the milling machine BF 2 is switched off after use.
Machine fuse – changing the microfuse
If the unit can not be switched on any longer, please check the function of the fuse. Switch the unit
off first and unplug it! The fuse holder is positioned beneath the mains plug in the cold-device plug
on the rear of the milling machine BF 2 and can be removed using the depressed lug when the ma-
chine is switched off (a tool can be used to make removal easier). Check whether the metal filament
within the fuse is broken. If it is, replace it. Following this, fully insert the fuse holder back into the
cold-device plug compartment. Switch the unit on and check proper function - if the keys are not lit
and / or the milling spindle is not running, please send the unit to bredent or an / or an authorized
dealer.
Materials and liquids
 Water and other liquids must not be allowed to penetrate the inside of the machine, as this can
lead to short circuits and corrosion.
 Only use commercially-available dental materials that are processed with the milling
machine BF 2.
